I recently re-plumed my house and replaced a copper/brass clamp style fitting with this ProPex fitting. This fitting was an excellent easy replacement and was installed with-in minutes of starting! It's built well and should last for years with-out fail.

1/2" pexpro x 1/4 pressure fitting
FYI, This product will not fit 1/2" pex tubing. The 1/2" is actually 5/8" and will not fit into standard 1/2" pex. I offered it as a trade-in on the correct valve but the local plumbing store had never seen or sold this size. Their 1/2" male fit perfectly. Apparently, Pexpro 1/2" tubing is 5/8".

Q: Minus the 1/4" nut and compression ring, will the threaded 1/4" end of this valve seal properly when screwed directly to your [72" Ice Maker Braided Hose Connector 1/4" x 1/4" Compression Thread] hose. If not, how is the best way to connect the two? Regards, Jerrell
