TFE-TITE PTFE Thread Compound

TFE-TITE is an FBC approved thread sealant containing PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) and contains no VOCs, no PFOA and no lead, and never did. It withstands temperatures from -200ºF. to +500ºF. and pressures to 10,000 psi. Meets Fed. Spec. TT-S-1732. It is non-staining, non-toxic, non-conductive, non-corrosive, non-flammable, non-drying & non-hardening and is bright white with a wide variety of uses. Use on threaded and flanged joints in lines carrying high pressure steam, oil, gasoline, most other solvents, various gases, and refrigerants. It is also effective for acids, alkalis, water, and fuels. TFE-TITE is an effective sealant for alcohols (ethanol, methanol, amyl alcohol, glycerine), aldehydes (formaldehyde), castor oil, sulfonated oils (turkey red oil), turpenes (turpentine), salts and salt water (sodium acetate, sodium bisulfate, sodium chloride, sodium nitrate, sodium sulfate, sodium sulfite, ammonium chloride, copper chloride), refrigerants (Freon 11, 12 & 22), gases (propane, butane, natural, illuminating).
