Great tool
This tool worked so good I was able to use my existing Sharkebite crimp fittings and tools on the AL coated PEX pipe and return the more expensive Viega Press Tools. I had been told by local supply house employees that this wouldn't work.

just whats needed
This is the tool needed when working with fosta pex. This workers with drill or by hand and makes the pipe work with the crimp rings. If you have al pex this is needed to terminate.

A real time saver
I used this tool to help add a new sink in my basement. I had to join the existing pex-al-pex to store bought pex I purchased. This stripper made the job very easy. I removed the outer layers from the pex-al-pex and used copper crimp rings and fittings with no leaks.

Q: what do i use to cut Pex a Pex pipe

Regular and Fostapex can both be cut with a regular pex tubing cutter. A pvc pipe cutter (not handsaw) wil also work. The alum on the fostapex wont bother the blade too much.

Q: I am looking to install a standard PEX water line from the box stores from an already installed FostaPex line. I tried to place the cinch ring around the FostaPex however realized they are two different diameters. Will this tool all me to install standard Pex fittings and crimp rings on a FostaPex line? I have Apollo fittings and cinch rings.

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffFostaPEX tubing is only compatible with PEX Press fittings (not crimp fittings). This prep tool is needed to prepare the 1/2" or 3/4" FostaPEX for any PEX press fitting connections.

Q: I need to connect FostaPex to a Uponer EP manifold. If I prep the FostaPex with this tool, will the pex then work with the QS style fittings?
