Ward makes iron fittings right here in the USA. Domestic pipe and fittings are a better value in the end. In working with import and domestic fittings you realize one thing quickly, Import fittings are exactly what they are... cheap

Excellent replacement union
I used this as the final connection to the original house plumbing when I replaced our main water line from the water meter into the house. It replaced the old union from 1946 perfectly, and there are no leaks.

Fits, no leaks
I put two of these, one at the inlet and the other at the outlet, of my shallow well pump. A few turns of teflon tape on the ends that fit into these, tightened everything up, and zero leaks. It's good to use unions at pieces of equipment that may have to be taken out or serviced to prevent having to tear out a lot of piping for what could be a simple removal.
