Worked perfect

I replaced the exact unit after 20 years outdoors. I'm thankful I did not try to rebuild the old one. It was corroded and failed to come apart in correctly. Installation was easy and the new unit is functioning perfectly.

I would recommend this item!!!

I tried the less expensive alternative and it didn't fit by about 3/4 of an inch. I then ordered the exact replacement and it fit perfectly!!!

Would definitely recommend!

Checked the local F.W. Webb's and they would have had to order the valve. It would have taken almost a week and was priced much higher than SupplyHouse.com . I had the valve within 2 days and it was exactly what I needed.

Turn the screw counter clockwise to lower downstream pressure and clockwise to increase.

Q: Is the only difference between the U5B-Z3 and the 25AUB-Z3 models the thermal bypass capability of the U5B as the U5B is much more expensive? I already have a thermal expansion tank in place so the 25AUB-Z3 seems like all I need.

The specs are the same for both models, however the U5B performs better at low flow rates because it has a larger orifice. This makes it a good choice for domestic use.

Q: it states that they come factory set at 50 psi, but I need it set at 25 psi. Is there a charge for that to be done?
