To install, pipe so that the safe water supply goes into the bottom and out the top to the fixture that uses water. If the fixture is a tank or tub, the outlet pipe should end 6 inches above the highest point of the tank. This device should not be used in such a way that it is under back pressure, such as a lawn sprinkler system before the control valves.
