Series 2-M2 Duo-Cloz Manual Washing Machine Shutoff Valves are used in washing machine applications to manually control water flow and pressure from the hot and cold water supply piping to the flexible hoses feeding a washing machine.
It prevents the washing machine hoses from bursting preventing water damage in the home. It consists of a brass body construction, and a single DuoCloz lever to control shutoff of both hot and cold water supplies.
Maximum Pressure: 150psi (10.3 bar)

No more wet floors!
Just the thing to rebuild a Watts M2 Washing Machine Shutoff Valve. These valves are a bit complicated, but the instructions made the rebuild a snap.
The only surprise was the need to run out to an auto parts store to buy a 3/8 inch allen wrench to remove the hose adapter from the valve body. Be sure to check your tool box before you start a rebuild.
And be sure to replace ALL discs and o-rings. They're paid for and you've gone to the trouble of disassembling the valve. You might as well do the job right.

Yes, as there is no other way to repair the leak.
The directions were a bit vague and the repair kit arrived missing one item. I was able to fix the leaking shut-off valve using the parts provided and one of the old washers since the kit was missing one.

I rebuilt my 30 year old washer shut off valve with no problems. Take your time and clean things properly and your good to go.

The product worked, but had one small issue
Used it to rebuild Watts M2 valve. Original kit had one o-ring missing. I contacted customer support and they provided the replacement kit that had the full complement on parts. The lesson learned -- check that you have all parts that you need before starting a job, so no big surprises down the road.

This Repair Kit for Watts 1/2" Washing Machine Shutoff Valve fits -BOTH- type Watts shutoff valves. The Watts web site says it's for Products Used On 2M2, 2TM2. But I have an older M1 type valve, "M1" is cast right into the brass valve. It looks identical to the M2 type. This rebuild kit includes extra gaskets and O-rings to repair either type valve - the M! and M2. I had to discover this myself because the tech support people at Supply House were no help. You will have left-over seals depending on the type valve you are rebuilding - this is normal.

Washing machine valve shutoff gaskets for watts are just hard to find and if that's all that's needed I hate having to buy a whole valve body just for the gaskets. Will stock up on these critters

Repair Kit Did Not Fix Leak
I bought the repair kit to fix a leak that is common with this shutoff valve. Changed out all o-rings and teflon disks and still had a leak. I wound up calling Watts directly and they are shipping me a replacement valve.
