3/4" FIP Union x G-Thread Pro-Pal Dielectric Water Heater Supply Valve w/ Expansion Tank Service Ball Valve (Lead Free)

I'm assuming that I, along with everyone else who bought this product, intended to use it for installing an expansion tank on their water heater. Let me save you some time: don't do it. This part comes with a one-inch union, and there are no 3/4-inch reducers available in any stores. Additionally, the threads on the fitting do not match the pattern of the reducer I ordered. I wasted so much time dealing with this that I ended up making my own bracket for the expansion tank. Save yourself time and money—just make your own.

For the nerdy mechanically inclined. I used Blue Monster tape for all connections and dope for the brass to brass connections. Yes, it does come with a 1" male (a 3/4" would be ideal for the supply line), but it's easily overcome with 1" to 3/4" reducer.

I bought this item to help install the expansion tank. The Tank, Water Heater, and Water Supply are all 3/4", but this valve I bought was 1" to the supply. How strange it is that there were no available valves that accommodate a 3/4" supply and no adapter devices. Couldn't use it, sent it back for refund.
