Complete Conversion Kit from Cycle Pilot System to Gold Control HSI (Natural Gas), 382-200-449

I have an old Weil McLain VHE Boiler and this conversion kit was exactly what I needed to get it up and running again!

I have an HE-II from the 70's the boiler is pretty solid but every year I would have to buy a mercury flame sensor or some other "electronic" part. No one local ever has parts in stock because of the age and while Supplyhouse is awesome it would still lead to a day or two without heat and for some reason always on the coldest day. It was getting pretty expensive to maintain as it was. I stumbled across this kit, I wish supplyhouse would've made it more visible and known and decided to give it a shot. I installed it myself in 4 hours, the instructions are ok but with a little common sense and the ability to read basic electronics diagrams it's pretty self explanatory. It greatly reduced the complexity of the old system and the LED's make it a breeze to know exactly what's going on or could be wrong. I feel like I breathed new life into my furnace. You do need some basic electrical and plumbing skills, also you do need to change the valve which involves working with natural gas , all of which could be dangerous. So while it can be a DIY, I'm proof, if you're not sure consult or hire a pro.

Buy the conversion kit for the VHE 5 boiler. It is still a great boiler and for less than $1000 you can have the kit installed. A new boiler is 5-10x more and many repair organizations will not service these older boilers. Find a repair man who does!
