It works as intended.
During combustion chamber cleaning, I noticed the original burned had developed two small cracks, one about 2mm, the other 3mm. It looked insignificant, but i ordered a replacement part from SH, and kept that handy. I cleaned the chamber again this year, i see the cracks had grown, and the accumulation of sooth were considerable, and the back insulation had signs of excessive burns. Long story short, if the burner has any cracks, even miniscule, change it right away.
