Accurate description & fit

This product is a direct fit replacement (though not OEM) on stoves that have a direct hole to exhaust fan assembly (not metal-on-metal contact type). Is normally open, but closes at a 5 degree lower temp than OEM, making for less mis-starts in cold temp climates. Fits Bosca aperture and screw holes directly. May fit other brands w/o redrill & plug.

Technically works, woefully inaccurate

I've bought two of these now because the first one was sensing for my application at least 10-15deg higher than the advertised 140F temp. Once it gets to 150-155F, the switch does function and close, but that's not what I'm aiming for. That's also not what White-Rodgers' catalogue says. The factory spec is +-5deg, which would be 135 -145F. That's a decent enough range, but installed, and when I tested on a temp-controlled hot plate, this switch (both versions mind you, remember, I got two because I thought the first was faulty) overshoots the claimed temp, repeatedly.

Great product

Temp control or blower motor thermostat went out on the wood stove and located you all online and was able to find just what I needed. No hassles and received in just a couple days.

Q: I am looking for a replacement part of Therm-o-disc, Inc. The back of the part has many numbers on it. 3F01-130 is one of them. This kind of looks like the part, but the piece is flat on the north end of the picture above which appears to be pointing toward the sky. Is this the part?

We would recommend making your decision based on the part numbers, not the appearance. Since these two part numbers match up, this is most likely the replacement part you are looking for. You could also contact the manufacturer (White Rodgers) for guidance.

Q: Does this snap disc close on temperature rise at 110 degrees and stay closed until (it opens) the temperature drops to 90 degrees?

Yes, it will close on temperature rise and open when the temperature drops. You can take a look at the manual for more information - http://s3.pexsupply.com/manuals/1249544603208/White-Rodgers-3F01-11.pdf

Yes. It works well for my purpose. I use it as a fan controller for a solar hot air furnace. I am very happy with it's performance.
