I have 250 volts in, so the out is 27.6VAC when input is on the 2 outside input tabs for more drop in voltage. If I used the inner input high side with my 250 volts, then the output is 32 volts. This means if I had a 240VAC input, the lowest I could get is 26.4VAC output, which is the max for the heater relays (26,4VAC) per code. This also powers a $500 AH circuit board. To get 24VAC output I would have to lower my input line voltage from the street down to 217VAC or less than 110 per per line. I think these transformers are using less windings for less voltage drop to the max allowed output based on perfect 240VAC coming into the house to save money. Cheap skates. I guess I could wind my own transformer.
