Zoeller BN140 Effluent Submersible Pump for Septic Tank, Low Pressure Pipe (LPP) and Enhanced Flow STEP Systems.
This submersible pump is designed for use in residential or light commercial dewatering applications and can be used to transfer groundwater or effluent. It includes a powder coated epoxy finish to prevent corrosion and is designed to provide great heat dissipation from the motor, ensuring a long service life.

- Durable cast iron construction
- Non-clogging, engineered thermoplastic vortex impeller design
- Passes 1/2" (13 mm) spherical solids
- Oil filled and hermetically sealed, automatic reset thermal overload protection
- Available in both single and double shaft seal designs
- Carbon/ceramic mechanical shaft seals
- Stainless steel bolts and lifting handle
- Upper sleeve and lower ball bearing running in bath of oil
- 1-1/2" NPT vertical discharge
- Operates at 130°F (54°C) in effluent or dewatering applications
- Includes a variable level float switch and 1-1/2" x 2" PVC adapter fitting
- Corrosion-resistant, powder coated epoxy finish
- UL listed, neoprene cord with molded plug cap and ground wire

This was a perfect replacement pump for my septic tank.
This was the same model I was replacing and ended up being so easy I did it myself. Pump arrived in 2 days as promised and came with a new float that I ended up using to replace an older one.
Glad I read the reviews on here as one other person noted that screw joint for the PVC pipe was higher than an older version so I had the PVC union on hand so all I had to do is cut 1.5" off of the pipe. Had it up and running in 30 minutes.

Installed, works great. Replaced the same pump of several years. One thing to note is that the mounting for the pipe is about an inch higher than the older version (had to shorten the PVC pipe)
