I highly recommend for raw sewage pump applications.
I bought this check valve for a lower lever sewage lift pump. Previous check valve had rubber boots on each end and smells came through the rubber no matter how tight the clamps. To avoid a repeat problem I decided to go with a PVC check valve and wanted the heaviest duty leak proof valve and this fit the bill. It is super thick & heavy compared to the big box store pvc check valves. Most importantly, unlike the 1/8 inch rubber seal and thin locking nuts on the big box valve, this thing has massive nuts made for real big channel lock pliers to grip & the seal is at least 1/2 inch wide. I don't think I would have spent double for this valve for a clean water French drain system but for a raw sewage pump that would be a disaster if something failed it was worth every penny. Absolutely no leaks or smells !
