Submersible pump for dewatering (sump) or effluent (septic tank systems). This model includes 15' Piggyback Variable Level Float Switch and 1-1/2" x 2" adapter.

- Watertight neoprene square ring between motor and pump housing
- Solid buoyant polypropylene float
- Oil-filled, hermetically sealed, automatic reset thermal overload protected motor
- Upper and lower sleeve bearings running in bath of oil
- Entire unit pressure tested after assembly
- Carbon and ceramic shaft seal
- Maximum temperature for effluent or dewatering 130°F (54°C)
- Passes 1/2" spherical solids
- 1-1/2" NPT discharge

Excellent choice of Pump
After I purchased my new home I realized I needed a Sump Pump put in. I researched all kinds and brands of pumps. I wanted one that was Submersable, all Cast Iron, with no plastic parts that were easily broken if a small stone or hard piece of dirt went through the pump. The BN53 Mate was the exact pump i needed. Strong,Reliable,and cost efficient. Thanks PetSupply Company for a Great Pump.

Great Pump!
I bought this pump with the variable float switch for my footer sump because I wanted to control the number of pump cycles. With the old Zoeller pump it was cycling about once every 15 to 30 seconds during the rainy season. To me that was way too often and probably is what led to the premature switch failure. Now I have set so it cycles about every five minutes. I'm hoping this will give me a much longer switch life. Time will tell. And when the switch eventually fails, it will be an easy fix to replace. The BN53 should pump up to the head at 19 ft. It will push verticle for at least 120ft. There are instructions of the height with the pump concerning horizontal pump height.
