I used these adapters and short PEX pieces to replace failing PB (Quest) connections to a zone valve distribution system in our 4-Plex. I chipped out the concrete where the PB tubing entered the concrete, went back to good PB tubing, and used the adapters to connect to short, makeup, pieces of PEX, and then used SharkBite shutoff valves to connect to the copper risers and zone valves. Job went smoothly ... hope it lasts.

I recommend pex tubing but this works with cpvc also and I have used both with this product. The value of this type of product is more than can be expected.

I converted my whole summer home fixtures from PB to CPVC. I used 1/2"& 3/4" PB to CPVC Sharkbite conversion fittings. (Approx. 2 dozen of them.) They worked great. I then also used 3 Sharkbite sink kits, 2 Sharkbite toilet kits. Along with 3-4 standard Sharkbite connectors. I got rid of over 100 old troublesome aluminium and plastic PB compression fittings. I'm very happy with the results...

I used a couple dozen in my 30 year old summer home. It had the original PB plumbing with aluminum compression rings over plastic fittings. I had several leaks at these fittings over the last couple of years. So I used the Sharkbite PB to cpvc (or any other pipe you prefer) conversion connectors. I used both 1/2" and 3/4" sizes.I got rid of every old fitting in the house from the floor up by converting over from PB to CPVC glued fittings. The Sharkbite conversion connector made the job easy and even possible. I was looking at a total plumbing replacement if the Sharkbites didn't work. I'm very happy with the results so far...

My house was plumbed in the early '90s with flexible grey plastic pipe - polybutylene. I wanted to extend hot & cold lines with PEX and needed a simple solution. After cleaning paint off the old pipe, the SharkBite Polybutylene Conversion Coupling slid on easily and solidly. No leaks - perfect solution for DIY. But be sure to make clean, 90 degree cuts, and get it right the first time (these do not remove w/o special tool).
