Note: Underground burial of SharkBite brass fittings requires that the fitting be wrapped using silicone wrap (25406A).
Designed to simplify pipe installation. Instant push-fit connection for increased ease-of-use- no soldering required. Fittings certified to 200 PSI and 200 degrees F (93 degrees C). Fits OD controlled copper, CPVC, or PEX pipe. Design certified and agency listed. Compact, corrosion resistant, robust DZR brass body.
The gray-colored collar is intended for use on Polybutylene pipe while the tan-colored collar is intended for OD controlled copper, CPVC, or PEX pipe.

Yes I would buy this product again
This connection worked great in converting my old polybutylene gray water lines to PEX. I used these right underneath before they go up through the floor. By placing them there they are visible and can be seen if something occurs down the road.

I have polybutylene (pb) tubing and needed this product to transition to PEX tubing. The sharkbite press fit connector worked perfectly.

Good Connection To Old Polybutylene Pipe
I used these adapters and short PEX pieces to replace failing PB (Quest) connections to a zone valve distribution system in our 4-Plex. I chipped out the concrete where the PB tubing entered the concrete, went back to good PB tubing, and used the adapters to connect to short, makeup, pieces of PEX, and then used SharkBite shutoff valves to connect to the copper risers and zone valves. Job went smoothly ... hope it lasts.

Q: The sharkbite 3/4 x 3/4 has different colors on each side. I am connecting a blue polybutylene pipe to a CPVC pipe. Which side does the blue polybutylene pipe go into , and which side does the white CPVC pipe go into ? Or does it matter ? Thanks, Andy
