QwikSEER+ WattSaver

It broke down after a week. The blower was running all the time th medium-high speed all the time. I could not get any help from the Qwik technical support. The idea is very good. The quality of the product is horrible. The price is not friendly eather. With a better quality and much lower price($ 50 tops), this product would be a success.

I installed the Quick seer fan control. Easy to install. I had a question about wiring on circuit board. I called the company and was connected promptly with an engineer who answered my questions. Works great and can already tell difference in humidity in my home.

Product works great as advertised. Installed without additional (optional) humidity sensor. Within minutes of installing and restoring power (and turning on A/C), the fan speed was reduced from High, to Medium, to Low. This immediately began saving energy as the higher fan speed was unnecessary. At the lower speeds, more moisture seemed to be getting removed, and the same cooling was achieved. Once moisture was removed from air, the units temperature sensor was monitoring evaporator coil temperature, and raised the fan speed (no icing up). Overall the A/C fan seems to run at lower speed most of the time, and the ability to remove humidity seems to be greatly increased. Overall humidity in the house used to be 50-70% on main floor and basement, and is now able to keep humidity lower in both. I have seen humidity as low as 40% on main floor (68°F) when running. Installation was very easy as described by the company, all necessary wires and mounting items were included. Additional work required was just to cut access in ducting to evaporator coil to place the sensor, and more zip-ties (a few included) to make everything neat. Install instruction included were detailed, and additional install video on manufacturer site shows installation if additional help is needed. Familiarity with A/C systems, furnaces, motors, etc should be a pre-requisite for this as many systems are a little different in some regards, but I do not see why most DIY'ers should not be able to install this themselves with appropriate research/understanding. This particular installation did not even need access to the fan motor, all existing fan wires were plugged into main furnace board and were easily moved to QuikSEER board. Some steps in instructions were slightly different due to this, as existing wires were moved to new board, and new wires were used between furnace board and QuikSEER board instead of running from new board to motor.
