Series LF70A, LFL70A Hot Water Extender Tempering Valves are used in residential water supply applications to mix cold and hot water to extend capacity of water heater storage tanks and hot water boiler tankless heaters. It features brass body construction, dial adjustment cap, replaceable thermostat, stainless steel spring and is available with either threaded or solder end connections.
- Series LF70A temperature range: 100°F to 130°F.
- Maximum Pressure: 150psi (10 bar).
- Size Range: 1/2 to 3/4 in. (15 to 20mm)

I would buy this item again if needed.
This tempering valve was a direct placement for one that was installed 28 years ago that eventually failed and would not turn the knob. It was shipped very quickly and was installed the following day. Worked perfectly and our system was back online. Quite pleased with the ordering and shipping assistance and could not been better. Most highly recommended company.

Does exactly what it's supposed to do. At first I was having trouble with hot water backing up into the cold water line but I added a check valve (like it said to do in the instructions!) and it has been smooth sailing.

Great product, but ....
It only lacks a calibrated reference point for the adjustment dial. Adjustment are "relative", not "absolute". You need to add a thermometer, down-stream from it to adjust the temperature to what you want it to be. If you add a thermometer, be sure to allow adequate water exposure, but keep the probe out of an area of turbulent flow (or probe will be quickly eroded).
