Q: I ordered a t & p valve for my water heater. 3/4" NCLX-5 Domestic T&P Relief Valve, Lead Free - SKU:23261-0150. It turns out that I need one with the extended shank. The one I purchased just doesn't reach the threads. Too thick insulation on the water heater. I can not seem to find a lead free t & p valve to fit. At least not so that I would get it in a few days. I could put the old one back in and have some hot water. Could I use this piece to extend the threads out to where this t & p valve would fit? Thank you. or should I go with LFLL100XL, 3/4" Lead Free Extended Shank T & P Relief Valve? I can't tell the difference between LFLL100XL & LFL100XL3M7.
