It works
I bought this because it is what was listed as the replacement element for my discontinued Reliance 909 water heater. It is not a fold back element as illustrated, but the original elements were and were around 13" long. Had I known that generic screw-in elements would have worked, I would saved by not paying the higher price for this one. I also found that the city water caused the elements to become encrusted with whatever CWL of Jonesboro puts in the water. Lower wattage elements are supposed to last longer in water that leaves crusty deposits, so I would have bought 3500W elements had I known about the deposits prior to replacing the old ones.
