Replacement Vapor Sensor
I had issues with my flammable vapor sensor, after I had fumes from spray paint nearby. None of the online tricks to reset the electricals to restart the pilot worked. I saw a review online to check the resistance of the leads with a voltmeter, which may suggest the whole sensor just needs to be changed. Sure enough, with a new sensor, it let me reset things and start it back up. Better to pay under $100 for a quick fix than get a whole new water heater, would definitely recommend if this is your issue.
