Our service fittings are rated to withstand the same pressures as the tubing they are designed to fit. They are designed and tested for cold potable water only. EPDM rubber gaskets are used in the compression fittings.

Buy from a different source
The description for this component states "insert stiffeners required on all flexible plastic connections." PEP stands for polyethylene pipe. So it's a flexible plastic. So this specific component is specifically designed for a flexible plastic connection and Supply House doesn't automatically include a stiffener with the purchase!? So okay... they don't automatically include the stiffener with this component. At least the stiffener is available for sale through them, right? Come to find out, NO, it's not available through Supply House. You'll have to order it from another source. I recommend just ordering the adapter-stiffener combo from another source such as RC Worst. It will save you the headache of spending a day finishing your install, turning on the water, and having a nice sized leak because there's no stiffener.
