1/2" Sweat x 1/2" Sweat Full Port Solder Ball Valve (Lead Free)

This is the full-port (full flow), lead-free version of the industry standard, american-made ball valve. I say industry standard because it's a brand not typically found at your home center, due to it being extremely high quality, and USA made, thus slightly more expensive. People don't know the difference so the cheap stuff sells better. However, industry chooses things based on total cost of ownership (including failures, replacements etc), not just the initial purchase price, so they choose high quality parts like this Apollo ball valve. In terms of VALUE it's dirt cheap. If you're paying a plumber $100+ per hour to install a shut-off valve, I don't know why anyone would install low quality parts.
