Our Van always has 2
If you do mini-splits, you need at least one of these. I usually add a 1/4" valve to the side port to protect my micron gauge. After evac, I turn off the 1/4" valve to keep Freon out of the micron gauge when I open the valves on the condenser.

Must have tool.
The Appions are tried and tested in the harshest conditions.
We'll typically have 50 to 100 Large VRF systems on a project and they never fail.
They even come with spare O rings.
Tried the others when these were in short supply "waste of money and time".
Been at this for 40+ years. Techs are only as good as the tools they carry.
