Q: Is this damper suitable for installation in a system where the damper is generally in the closed position and only opens infrequently? What is the life expectancy of the motor in this case?

Verified Reply- SupplyHouse StaffIn this situation, a damper that is normally closed and power open would be recommended. Damper 6704 is a normally closed power open, so the damper motor would be continually engaged and this would drastically reduce the life of the damper. The smallest damper size they offer in a normally closed power open is a 6" damper, SKU 6506.
