I gave 4 stars because I would have liked a more complete description of the product. I had to search on the web to find the actual ingredients of the medium. After discovering that, I am completely satisfied with using this particular medium.

Great product, poor packaging
Product performs as intended, however it was not properly packaged for ground shipment. Box was twice the size the bucket needed and held in place with airbags. Box was trashed and re-taped multiple times before deliver. Bucket was damaged but bot enough to lose product.

Just what was needed for older Cuno/MacClean iron filter
Removed old media outside (with help of hose) and scouped new in (once in place). Needed 1.0 cu. ft. for MacClean MAX1001 filter, so ordered 2 MC-050P (0.5 cu. ft. each). A good price at Supply House.
