The BRK SMI100-AC (1046838) is a hardwired ionization smoke alarm with a replaceable 9V battery backup, sold in a contractor 6-pack. It interconnects with most First Alert and BRK hardwired alarms, sounding all connected units when any single alarm detects smoke. Precision Detection technology reduces cooking-related nuisance alarms while the latching alarm indicator visually identifies the originating unit.
