These should fit. They are compatible with all standard baseboard heaters.
There are wall clips available which should work well in your case. I would buy one for each sixteen inches (fasten to wall at stud locations) plus one for each end.
yes
The end pieces and other accessories must be purchased separately.
You will need to purchase the end caps separately.
No, you have to order the end pieces separately. Be careful to order 'open' end or 'closed' end.
These should work if you are referring to the distance between the wall and the front of the fins. If there is a 3 + inch gap of empty space between the wall and the start of the fins, this product will not work for you.
You would have to cut a hole in the cover or remove it.
These covers are designed for use with hydronic baseboards.
The design of these covers will have a negligible effect on heat distribution, as most heat will be released from the top portion of the cover. Nothing forces hot air through through the upper clearances on a traditional baseboard, either. The heat will start to rise as soon as it leaves the fins and will continue to do so after it passes through the cover. There is no reason to alter the position of the fins. A far more important consideration is to ensure that there are 18" of clearance in front of the baseboards.
The covers can be purchased in 3', 4', 5', 6', or 7' sections. Custom cutting is also available.
Basically, the design of the baseboard heater cover prevents anything from touching the heating element. They still will get hot, but probably not as hot as the original covers. We sense that you may have electric heaters because hot water baseboard doesn't get anywhere near hot enough to melt plastic. This product will work with electric, but is not intended for use with electric. Wall brackets often have to be used for mounting over electric heaters. For more information regarding your question, please visit this link: http://baseboardheatercovers.com/child_safety.html
Yes, you are correct.
Unfortunately, we do not have heater covers that low in height.
