An epiphany!
A 1" pipe fitting absolutely will not accept a 3/4" without a bushing such as this. After many attempts to do so and having consumed several rolls of T tape I discovered this amazing device.
It has changed my life!

Threads were "dinged" either in shipment or manufacturing and had to be fixed for the bushing to thread into the other connection. 2nd issue with a shipment from Supplyhouse.com....

Fixing Parts is Nonsense....
Threads were "dinged" either in shipment or manufacturing and had to be fixed for the bushing to thread into the other connection. 2nd issue with a shipment from Supplyhouse.com....

Verified Reply- SupplyHouse StaffYes, this bushing (part J-BLB-0201) has 1/4" male threads on the outside and 1/8" female threads on the inside.

In Calif. the code says bushings can not be used in concealed locations. This is so you can be sure of the pipe sizing for total gas capacity.
