Radiator would not line up with valve when floor was raised. Without access to pipe below I had to order this and it worked like it should.

This was a perfect fit. I needed an extension for my radiator pipe after installing a tile floor. This gave me the length needed to reconnect the radiator without any problem.

We were building an industrial pipe walk in closet and one of our shelf sets were off by an inch. We looked everywhere for extension pieces at the big box stores, but nothing. This place was one of the few that had them. They worked perfectly!

I replaced some valves on steam radiators. The new valve bodies were shorter and I used this extension to lengthen the pipe(130 year old steam pipes inside walls and floors can not just be unscrewed and replaced without tremendous difficulty) and they work perfectly

I used this to extend a 1 1/4 steam pipe that starts under the floor and goes up to a radiator valve. The 1 1/4 size extension adds about 1 1/4 to the length of the pipe. It is to hard, if not impossible to remove the nipple and install a new longer one. I had to change the radiator and the replacement radiator was higher.

Although this didn't solve my original issue, it is a great piece for unique situations. I didn't address the pipe coming from under the floor as I had to replace the floor from the original boards then new 1/2"plywood, ditra, then tile. So the actual pipe height going to the steam radiator was really tough to judge. Still had to prop the radiator to reach the valve connection.Overall great adapter. The local HD doesn't carry anything like this. - Shipping is a little high...
