Application:
Designed to measure and register water system pressure within a system, Ideal for recording the highest pressure reached to determine if a Pressure Reducing Valve (P.R.V.) is required as well as to trouble shoot problems caused by thermal expansion or pressure spikes. The 3/4" hose connection allows for direct connection to a water heater drain valve or hose bibb. The maximum pressure indicator needle can be reset by turning the external knob counter clockwise.
Often used in conjunction with rubber test caps offering a quick and easy way to fill and drain water used in testing cast iron or Schedule 40 plastic pipe often used in sewer, drain and waste water system.

Used it to check water pressure in two homes, one was know to be 70 psi. That one read 100 psi another hose read and now anything checked with it shows 190 psi.

Do not recommend....
Does not fit well, leaks (I tried multiple washers), and water gets into dial pressure gauge. I returned the item. BUT, kudos to SupplyHouse for a great return policy and process... they were great!
