2.4" in length.
The valve is 2 1/2" in length.
Yes,but there may be a reduced flow rate.
Yes but PVC would be the better solution. Stephen Cuzziere Go Green Industries
should work fine.
My comments are not code based, nor legal based ... however, If you use this check valve for a garden hose set up and its being pumped from a drinking water supply, and you are using the hose to spray something that has a chemical in it such as fertilizer, I'd suggest that you install 2 of these check valves about 2"-6" apart, and you locate them in a place that is not subject to being moved as the garden hose would be. (mount them very close to the water outlet, and fix them to a stake or pipe) While there are springs in the checks, bumping the hose around could allow them to open briefly.
This product has female iron pipe size thread not hose bib threads. you can use 3/4" IPT to 3/4 hose bib thread adapter to make it work. No, it's not adjustable.
no.
No.
I don't believe it's adjustable, I think it has a set pressure release point.. Not sure what it is. Sent from my iPhone
no, it is not adjustable
No it is not.
Hi Jim, I bought two of theses about a year ago. I did not see any adjustment to the spring. Our house pressure runs 35-40 pounds and I have never had a problem with flow. Good Luck Jon
No. Its pre set
Yes, it will work in the vertical with flow going down or up. The crack pressure is low. It's really just enough to prevent convective (ghost) flow. It's not a very strong spring. I don't know an exact opening pressure rating.
Spring loaded check valves work in any orientation. Not sure what the opening pressure of the valve is.
Yes, this valve will work in a vertical position with the flow going down. Thats how I installed it. Will this valve work in a vertical position with the flow going down? What is the "crack Pressure" of the spring?" I do not know.
Yes, as long as there is no vacuum break upstream; the lift pressure is maybe 12" H2O.
Yes, as long as there is not a vacuum break installed anywhere. The left pressure is no more than a few inches of water.
Yes, as long as there is not a vacuum break in the system, the lift pressure is about 10" H2O.
Yes, they can.
The temperature limit is 200 degrees.
I don't know, but it was quiet when I started my recirc pump and as the water heater gets up to temperature, the valve starts clattering like crazy.
You'll need to use an adapter that has male threads with the SLSC050T check valve (part H030500, for example). H040500 has female threads.
The spring is stainless steel. This item is made in China.
The spring-loaded valve will definitely make less noise, but it may still be audible on occasion.
