- One piece “Extra Heavy Duty” valve body molded from Rigid PVC, listed under NSF61 & NSF14 (ASTM D-1784) provides superior tensile strength
- FPT threads to ASME /ANSI B 1.20.1 specifications
- Robust stainless steel poppet and hardware
- NBR Sealing Gasket ensures a positive seal
- Flow diverter minimizes turbulence and friction loss
- Stainless Steel spring closes valve against pressure, eliminating flow reversal & minimizing hydraulic shock
- Stemless acetal poppet guide for long-lasting, quiet, trouble free operation in both vertical and horizontal installations
- Polypropylene screen with high open area ensures flow is not restricted
- Small holes prevent flat pieces of debris/scale from passing thru and into the pumps impeller, a common problem with slotted type screens.
- Tapered screen with rounded nose cone prevents hang-ups on casing during installation

Foot valve
The foot Valve is great except For One thing.. On the end of the valve is a plastic screen that has a small plastic tab to hold it on .the one on my valve broke off and I had to drill it and put a screw in to hold it on. They should correct that flaw on this product.

Adequate Product
I use these for a 2" suction line from a creek with a gas powered pump. The foot valve works as expected and delivery was excellent. The reason for three stars is that I can tell the loss of pressure at the sprinklers using the foot valve compared to a DIY screened filter for a pickup. I was hoping the valve body and seal would be large enough to not notice a difference. I will probably add a 'Y' and use two of the valves for the one pickup.

I've purchased this foot valve twice, works perfectly.
I use it on the suction side of a one and a half horsepower irrigation pump. I'm drawing water out of a river and this works perfect to filter out all the debris and stop water flu when the pump turns off.
