Works well but do your research.
I replace my gas valve on my Bradford White because it was leaking gas, and could smell it a few feet away. After the install I couldn't smell gas but my gas detector was picking up some. I contacted Bradford White and they said it's normal for this valve to "vent" some gas during its burning cycle. This can be a little misleading but good to know it's now working how its supposed despite the small amount of "venting" it does.

Perfect replacement gas valve for 40 gallon BW RG240S6
We have an aging (nine years old) BW propane gas water heater that was acting flaky - probably a bad temperature sensor. So I delved into the details on the Supply House web site. This was my first purchase from SH. I liked the fact that I was able to accurately confirm the correct replacement part using the SH web site; it was great that one previous reviewer had confirmed this was the correct replacement gas control valve for our hot water heater. The fast shipping was also a bonus - I received the part on Tuesday after ordering it late in the day on a Friday.
One thing I didn't realize is that the gas control valve ships with the LP Pilot Light Assembly replacement parts - I got caught by the "do you also want to purchase this?" suggestion. So now I have a backup pilot light assembly! ;)
