It was handy it could be mounted in the pipe vertical, the unions tend to rotate the pipe when tightening in a way didn't expect I was a little concerned with the temperature rating of 175F if I remember correctly, but the return water is below that.

Q: I have instaled a new 1" dirt Mag on a new high efficiency Lochinvar boiler. The system has half in floor radiant and 1/2 old cast iron radiation How often should the dirt mag need to be cleaned? and is this something a house wife should be able to do? [email protected]

Verified Reply- SupplyHouse StaffIn terms of how often cleaning is needed, that would vary upon the conditions on the system it is installed in so Caleffi does not give a set amount of time. Once or twice a heating season should likely be enough. The process of cleaning it is fairly simple.
