More About Cast Iron Fittings
Cast iron fittings are generally used in steam heating applications. They are highly durable and practically indestructible. They do not react with most chemicals and won't melt or burn, even in extreme conditions. They have a long lifespan which minimizes the need for replacement and repairs.

90 & 45 degree elbows are used to change the direction of the flow of water 45 or 90 degrees. These fittings are connected directly to a cast iron pipe.

Tees are used to either combine or split fluid flow. They are also used to connect pipes of different diameters or for changing the direction of pipe runs.

Reducers or "reducer couplings" reduce a pipe from one size to a smaller size.

Flange Unions are bolted or welded together to connect two pipes.

Companion Flanges contain bolt holes that align with another flange. A companion flange is used to change a pipe size on a section of pipeline that might be removed or disassembled in the future. It also offers easy access in case of an emergency or repair. A companion flange is can also be useful in case of future construction additions.

We offer a wide selection of Cast Iron Fittings manufactured by Ward.
