Installation & Operation Notes:
- Remove the DBLT4 cover, slide out old screens, and insert replacements in the same orientation
- Ensure the screens seat fully in the frame before reinstalling the cover
- Inspect duct connections and booster fan presence after servicing the lint trap
Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Replace screens when visibly loaded with lint or as part of regular dryer booster maintenance
- If airflow decreases, inspect both the lint trap and booster fan for blockage
- Do not wash or reuse screens that are structurally compromised

Safety is always first
So I was reading a lot of the reviews and just wanted to leave my own review. I have been using this lint trap and screen for about 10 years. They are a safety and cleanliness item. They were added to home building codes in order to prevent the dryer hoses from collecting too much lint and eventually causing a bad situation for catching on fire and burning down homes. The screens were designed to fail if to much build up occurs. If the screens were designed to stop no matter the pressure your dryer would eventually fail or unsafe fire conditions would occur. The screens are a good item the way they are, but must be cleaned every day you use your dryer. They should also be changed more often if you have any animals or lots hairy humans.

Really poor engineering
We have been using Fantech's Boosters and Lint traps for about 6 years now. Unfortunately, we have to deal with these filters all the time. It is hard to believe that somebody would be making them in the 21st century. The way the filters are made is like something they made in the beginning of the 20th century. The filter is nothing more than just a piece of tin metal with a hole in the middle and a metal net stretched over it. The main problem is, of course, that the net is attached so poorly that after a few cleanings it disconnects from the metal plate, and you need to use some tape to attached it back. Needless to say, the tape can't hold it well, and eventualy the net looses its shape so badly that you have to buy a replacement filter.

I always return to SupplyHouse for this lint trap
The setup for our dryer is within the interior of our house and venting is up through the second floor. We require a booster fan in order to not burn up the dryer (or catch our house on fire). Over time, the lint trap screen for the booster fan will stretch and get too congested from cleaning. I have ordered from SupplyHouse in the past for this exact part and am always satisfied. The quality is great, I only need a new one every few years. The speed in which SupplyHouse ships is admirable.

Poorly made
Great service from Supply House, but the way these screens are manufactured, designed, is poor. If used correctly they are to be removed and cleaned several times a week for a normal couple or family. They just don't hold up over time and needs repair or replacement in a short time.
Unfortunately it seems to be the only option.

Sreen comes out of frame
The lint filter easily comes apart and the metal wires become a hazard. I have put a piece of aluminum tape on the bottom and top in the hope that it won't come apart so easily. Not a very good design
