This plastic fitting allowed me to turn a 4" elbow within a 2x4 stud on an older house remodel. Combined with a flexible 3x4 reducer, I fit a conventional bathroom exhaust fan with a sidewall exterior mounted vent hood.

One is oval and one is round. The round one is that which the vent cover attaches to.

Q: What temperature can this withstand before it melts? Can this be used for a dryer vent?

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffAccording to the manufacturer, 140°F is the maximum temperature it can withstand, and they would say no, it cannot be used for a dryer vent.
