It can be, but this may be very noisy.
Not as far as I know, they are ideal for false ceilings
Yes no problem. Just make sure that the outside unit as a good working damper.
I connected it tothe fan using a 4" elbow and short lenghts of duct.as far as walls go, I mounted it in a ceiling - it might be too long to mount in an exterior wall.
This DG Series Plastic Duct with metal mounting collar is made to be mounted the studs by the straps on the metal collar either before the final wall finish is applied or after, if one side of the wall is left unfinished. Modifying the metal collar to make tabs that would hold the collar to the wall finish (sheetrock) is possible if you also provide some support behind the hole so you can place screws through your modified tabs, through the sheetrock, and into the support you install inside the wall cavity. If your install location is against a stud, you could also place a screw or two inside the collar and into the stud to hold the collar firmly to the wall or ceiling. I hope this answers your question. Mark
If I’m not mistaken rvf4 is designed to connect to flex duct first and then can be connected to the exhaust grill. It sounds like you might want to connect the exhaust grill collar directly to the unit, if so', I’m sure it’s possible but it’s going to take a little creativity to make it work. To answer your question, yes the grill can be used with that fan.
