Description

The HEPA Filtration system comes with two different mounting methods, depending on your choice of installation. The HS300 can be installed in a conditioned space such as a basement, closet or heated crawl space or because it is insulated it can also be installed in an unconditioned space such as a garage or attic. The HERO HS300 can be duct mounted or directly to any furnace/ air handler with a relay switch activating the unit on. Designed with a back plate that allows direct connection of the unit to air handler or furnace.

Fantech is REALLY Cheapening These Up!!!
I used to sell these & was a dealer for Fantech. Not anymore. The newest HS300's & PHS300's are all junk compared to the earlier versions. On the new ones I was getting constant customer complaints about the doors sagging at the hinges and that the door needed to be lifted up to latch it
Then came the change that caused to to abandon them See the attached picture from the LAST HS300 I installed. The good doctor showed me his last new "old" filter vs. a brand new one. 95% less carbon content & the wires & media are super cheap now. We also noticed a big difference in the HEPA filter weight, so we weighed them. The new filter was a full 12 oz. LESS than the new "old style" filter. I contacted Fantech to complain as a dealer & they told me yes, they made those changes and that is their "new normal" with no intention to build a quality filter anymore. I just walked away from them.
I do NOT recommend any of their products now. Typical company searching for ways to cheapen up the product while continuing to raise the price!

I would buy this again.
Have had it installed for the past 6 years. Runs year round. Wife has allergy problems. Especially Woodland Fire smoke and other allergens. House is less dusty too,
Device is quiet, efficient, and easy to do filter changes.

This thing is great
Wasn't too bad to install, has really reduced our allergy problems and it made a noticeable difference. Would 100% recommend. I wasn't a fan of the plastic collars they provide, I went and bought 2 galvanized 8" ones that worked great. Very quiet overall, but that fan moves a ton of air!! The cabinet is made in Canada and the fan in Germany, quality is top notch!

Verified Reply- SupplyHouse StaffHi David. The Whole House HEPA Filtration system is designed to install directly onto the return air plenum and should not be installed on the supply side.
