Description
–
A Heat Recovery Ventilator is a complete whole house ventilation system that incorporates a supply motor and an exhaust motor in one unit. It is designed to bring a continuous supply of fresh air into the home while exhausting an equal amount of contaminated air. HRVs use what is known as a "sensible" heat recovery core. The special aluminum core transfers heat from the exhaust air stream to the incoming air stream. Fresh incoming air is tempered by the heat that is transferred from the outgoing air so you save on energy costs.
HRVs are designed for colder areas of the country that have longer heating seasons as well as drier desert areas of the South.

SHR 2005R. Great Product
I received this unit in a very short time after I ordered. It was very easy to install. My local HAVC contractor wanted $2,500 to replace my existing unit. This was a very easy DIY project considering it was a replacement and not a new install. Unit is well and and the alum. heat exchanger is superior to the old plastic design. Great price at under a $1,000

has a aluminum core for better heat recovery
I put it in my moms house she is 93 years old and won,t open the windows in the house, its been running 20 minutes on and 40 minutes off per hour on low speed ventilate mode, about one week now and she seems to have more energy, and the basement dose not smell like a basement any more I am happy with it
