Rheem Part "Equivalent"
This is an exact replacement for the inducer motor and fan for Rheem R96 series furnaces. Supply House confirmed a Rheem "OEM" Part number and carries that component as well. However, the brochure link in this item shoes the FASCO equivalent part. Note that FASCO makes these OEM fans for many furnaces by several manufacturer as indicated in their brochure. I called FASCO myself to ensure it is THE same part ( at less than half the price). It does NOT include the manifold gasket but SH carries that as well. It does include the motor , fan housing, hose clamps and wiring harness. SH packaged this safely and it arrived sooner than promised. If you need the Rheem box , you get the gasket and you pay the extra price. You can use high temp. RTV sealant in lieu of a gasket , but for 3 bucks, why bother?
