Worked, Fixed UV-18 That Wouldn't Come On
Worked, Fixed UV-18 that was not working, pre-installed on the house that I bought. The light wouldn't turn on even after I replaced the bulb with a new UV bulb, so I tried this ballast, and it worked. Quick and easy to install too.

I guess if they hold out any length of time
just not satisfied with the size of these ballasts are a little larger than the original ones you can only place in position with only one nut to secure into the unit.I have replaced it in the unit and seems to be working ok

I bought two and both ballast deviced worked fine
This was a replacement product for the original part number which was discontinued and although the wiring colors were different it worked fine for two locations where I needed replacements. The parts were pricey but I could have saved $12 in shipping if I ordered them at the same time, but the service was great. I spoke to a technician who helped me troubleshoot the old parts with a voltmeter which verified I needed a replacement, and the ordering process online was simple.
