Description

Note: When choosing a new coil please contact our Product Support to verify which coil replacement will work for your system. You can also find this information in the Cross Reference listed below.

The Goodman CAPF Cased Upflow/Downflow Indoor Coils are made for split system air conditioners and heat pumps. The cabinet is painted Architectural Gray. This evaporator coil operates with an air conditioner or heat pump of two different tonnages. The evaporator coil comes factory equipped with an orifice (Flowrater) for the small listed tonnage. If you are matching the evaporator with an air conditioner or heat pump of the higher tonnage, the Flowrater of that tonnage will need to be used. If you are just purchasing this evaporator and are going to match it with a unit of the higher tonnage listed on the description, you will need to purchase the larger Flowrater and install it in the evaporator before start up. Instead of Flowrater a Thermostatic Expansion Valve (TXV) may be used or required for some equipment. (For details see Submittal Sheet)

I love the internet to save money

Well, there are good things about the advent of the internet. One is that you can search for very specific stuff. Having purchased a furnace and a/c from another company a couple years ago I was surprised when the price of a coil from them was more than a hundred bucks greater than from 'supply house'. Obviously it is critical to check compatability of a product to your situation. Goodman makes a very respectable product without the name brand extortion price. I have run their furnace and a/c for a couple years and have had no troubles.
