Description

Note: When choosing a new coil please contact our Product Support to verify which coil replacement will work for your system. You can also find this information in the Cross Reference listed below.

The Goodman CAPF Cased Upflow/Downflow Indoor Coils are made for split system air conditioners and heat pumps. The cabinet is painted Architectural Gray. This evaporator coil operates with an air conditioner or heat pump of two different tonnages. The evaporator coil comes factory equipped with an orifice (Flowrater) for the small listed tonnage. If you are matching the evaporator with an air conditioner or heat pump of the higher tonnage, the Flowrater of that tonnage will need to be used. If you are just purchasing this evaporator and are going to match it with a unit of the higher tonnage listed on the description, you will need to purchase the larger Flowrater and install it in the evaporator before start up. Instead of Flowrater a Thermostatic Expansion Valve (TXV) may be used or required for some equipment. (For details click Specification Sheet)

Q: 2 of the ducts running from this are in the basement (where the unit is) and blow almost zero air out of both vents. No kinks in line but how is this possible. I've had 2 different HVAC guys look at it but neither can tell me what's wrong. Basement is freezing.

sounds like the blower was not sized correctly based on the static pressure of your duct work.
