6" x 12" (Wall Opening Size) Golden Sand Floor Register (210 Series)

The first one I got literally fell apart (damper mechanism fell out of the unit when I picked it up). Supply House quickly replaced it for me (customer service was excellent), and the replacement unit is better, but it's still very loose, i.e. the damper mechanism is not secured well to the "frame" of the register. This looks like a manufacturing problem to me. It works, but not well.

I have ordered four of these so far they all come with finish scraped off and in pieces because of poor quality control and shipping. Unfortunately, these are probably the best vents on the market, so I have to make these work.

Unit was "old fashion" well made. Heavy duty, just what I was needing. Louvres worked freely and construction was solid.

I purchased the Golden Sand Floor register (210 series) 9" x 12" to replace a rusty old one when I had new flooring installed. Since it sits horizontally on the floor I was worried it would get scratched up by chairs that are near it and sometimes placed on top of the register. It has held up very well for the last month. It is very sturdy and the finish takes mild abuse from the feet/legs of the chairs without taking the finish off or scratching the finish. This is a quality product and worth the money. If you buy the lesser series of this register you may be disappointed.
