6" x 14" (Wall Opening Size) Golden Sand Floor Diffuser (421 Series)

Replaced three wood supply registers in the 2-story great room because those were too restrictive and the damper lever keeps getting knocked shut whenever the floor is vacuumed. After replacing those with Hart & Cooley 421s, the air distribution was much better, the duct static pressure dropped by 10% and the damper lever did not get knocked shut because it was slightly recessed. I ordered 5 more to replace some decorative steel stamped registers that are also too restrictive. I ordered these OEM Hart and Cooleys because these were backed by the manufacturer's published engineering data sheets so you can compare the spread, throw, effective area and pressure loss. If you buy cheap imitations that are not backed by engineering data, you will only feel uncomfortable and stress out your HVAC system which could lead to premature failure.

Lightweight junk. The metal is thin, it is slightly undersized for a sloppy fit and the opening and closing lever doesn't work at all. I doubt that this register will last more than a year or two. I bought this because it came in white. Don't buy this. Buy the 210 series. They cost a little more than twice as much but are ten times better. The 210 series comes in brown only. If you don't like the color, spray paint is inexpensive.
