24" x 30" air return grille
Used two of these grilles to increase air return capacity to air handler, as a means of increasing overall, air turn over rate, for better efficiency. Originally, a smaller grille was on the door, (14" x 14"), which was causing a strong vacuum. It was removed. A second set of grilles was installed, (17" x 17"). Air flow turnnover rate was still poor. Finally installed the (24" x 30") grilles. A lot better. Air handler is in a closet, in laundry room, behind door, in picture. Home is a triple wide trailer. A very poor HVAC design. Later, I'll be installing 20" diameter duct to connect the air handler,to the (24" x 30") grilles, For maximum efficency.

confirm hole spacing needed. not for 24" o/c truss spacing
The truss bottom cord is the ceiling with 24" on center spacing, but the hole spacing on this grille does not work well for 24" spacing.

Q: I am looking to replace the same make/model vent in my house. The old one seems discolored. The date on the back of the vent says 1994... has the color changed since then? Or is the color I currently have what the product labels white?

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffYes, it is. Latex and acrylic based paints are most commonly used. Lacquer, urethane, and PVC based paints also work well.

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffIt can be re-installed, but larger fasteners will need to be used, possibly requiring larger holes in the grille.
