Firm grip, but only suitable for deeper walls

This clamp holds a firm grip on the pipe and is reasonably robust. The plastic tabs securing the clamp to the metal bracket are a little flimsy but held up for me. This clamp is used with a metal bracket, which are purchased separately. The clamp depth extending behind the metal bracket may be an issue for some installations. I measured it at 1-5/16". Add the thickness of the pipe and a tee or elbow fitting, and you are getting close to the depth of a standard stud cavity. In narrow walls your pipe either will not fit, or will be right up against the drywall on the other side. I ended up switching to a solderable copper plate bracket because of this, as that style of stub-out let me keep the pipe in the center of the stud cavity away from potential nail and screw punctures.
